New York—Strata Architects, founded in 2012 by Kimberly Brown and Nizam Kizilsencer, is the
Architect of Record and Interior Designer for Cut, Wolfgang Puck’s first restaurant in New York
City. In collaboration with renowned Paris firm, Jacques Garcia Decoration, the new high-profile restaurant has opened at 99 Church Street in Manhattan.
The restaurant is on the ground floor of Silverstein Properties’ Four Seasons New York Downtown Hotel and Residences in Lower Manhattan developed by Silverstein Properties.
Since 2012, STRATA Architects has quickly established itself as a highly skilled design firm with a
wide-ranging portfolio. The partners joined forces to create a 21st century architecture practice
based on their deep experience at world-renowned firms, including SHoP, Polshek Partnership (now Ennead) and SOM. STRATA is currently working on several hotel and hospitality projects in New York and globally. CUT by Wolfgang Puck is Strata’s first restaurant in New York City.
“As the Architect, Architect of Record and Interior Design team, we make sure the vision that’s been put forward by Jacques Garcia, the visionary Wolfgang Puck and many other stakeholders is achievable through research and development of every last detail,” says Mr. Kizilsencer, who worked with Silverstein Properties on One World Trade Center.
“This is a complex, highly technical project,” adds Ms. Brown. “Because of the high level of service
the restaurant will provide, we have to provide details that go over and above industry standards– in both the front and back of the house spaces.”
